This is part of the Sarasota Memorial Health Care System and is one of the biggest health systems in the State of Florida. This facility holds over 820 beds, 5000 staff members, and over 900 doctors. There are also nearly 600 volunteer workers who make the hospital the county’s larger employers. The hospital was established in 1925 and is overseen by the member-elect Sarasota County Public Hospital Board. The facility is full service and offers specialized care in heart, cancer, neuroscience and vascular matters.
